Dr. Azinu Honored for Contributions to Agricultural Education

Dr. Amos Rutherford Azinu, CEO of Legacy Crop Improvement Center, was recently recognized by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Agribusiness Student Association for his exceptional contribution to agricultural education.

The citation, presented following Dr. Azinu’s comprehensive workshop on seed business management at Legacy Square, acknowledges his “unwavering support and dedication to academic excellence.” Students particularly valued his experiential learning approach that enabled them to participate in an educational field trip.

“Being able to share practical knowledge with the next generation of agribusiness leaders is both a privilege and responsibility,” said Dr. Azinu when asked about the recognition.

The KNUST Agribusiness Association expressed their gratitude with the traditional “Ayekoo!!” – a Ghanaian expression of congratulations and appreciation for hard work.

This recognition highlights the importance of industry-academic partnerships in developing practical skills needed in Ghana’s agricultural sector.
