LCIC UNVEILS NEW SEED VARIETY

Our seed business in Ghana, Legacy Crop Improvement Centre (LCIC), has unveiled its novel seed technology LEGACY 26, a climate smart seed maize with high pro vitamin A content to the public. This early maturing variety possesses high grain yield potential of 8 tonnes per hectare.  

The new variety was launched at recently at the 2024 This is Ghana Exhibition a platform that aimed at showcasing the best seed business Innovation.”

The exhibition drew thousands of visitors eager to experience the rich tapestry of Ghanaian culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It was organised jointly by Channel One TV and CitiFM.

The 2024 edition was held at the Forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly from August 31 to September 1, 2024.

Vendors from across the country showcased their products making the exhibition dynamic featuring a wide array of locally made unique goods and services.

From fashion and agriculture to technology and crafts, the event was a testament to Ghanaian creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. The energy remained high for the two days, with vendors and buyers forging new connections, forming partnerships and making significant sales.
