
The National Seed Trade Association of Ghana (NaSTAG) leadership comprising the President, Dr Amos Rutherford Azinu, Mr Andrew Nii Adjietey, a board member, Mr Clifford Amoah Adagenera, Executive Secretary and Mr Prince Darko, the Finance Officer met with Hon. Eric Opoku, Minister of Food and Agriculture, and his team namely the Deputy Minister, Hon John Dumelo, Technical Adviser to the Minister, Hon Kwasi Etu – Bonde and the Chief Director of the ministry, Mr Paul Siameh to discuss strategic collaboration on the Feed Ghana program.
During the discussions, NaSTAG affirmed its readiness to contribute to this national initiative, exploring collaborative strategies to enhance Ghana’s food security. This engagement reflects the government’s commitment to partnering with the Ghana seed industry to address agricultural challenges.
The Minister expressed confidence in the partnership’s potential impact on Ghana’s agricultural productivity and self-sufficiency goals. This meeting represents a significant step toward strengthening public-private cooperation within Ghana’s seed sector as the nation pursues sustainable food systems.
