Dr. Christiana Amoatey is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Crop Science, School of Agriculture,College of Basic and Applied Sciences, University of Ghana. She holds a PhD in Plant Biology from the University of Reading. Her research interests include weed ecology with emphasis on alternatives to chemical weed management, seed quality maintenance, crop production systems and Soil Conservation agriculture. She served as the Senior Education Fellowfor the African Network for Agriculture, Agroforestry and Natural Resources Education for the Africa Humid Tropics Regional Fora for Training from 2010 to 2014. She also served as Head of the Department of Crop Science from 2011-2015. She currently teaches courses in Weed Science, Seed Science and Agroforestry in School of Agriculture.
