LEGACY 2 It is a single cross hybrid maize/corn with grain yield of 9 tons per hectare. It has 95 maturity days. It is useful for human consumption and industrial purposes. It performs in all agro-ecological zones in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Togo. It has good standability and husk cover. A farmer needs 8kg of LEGACY 2 seed maize to plant in an acre in space of 60cm between rows and 40cm within rows. Plant two (2) seeds per hill in soils with adequate organic matter and apply at least 50 kg of compound fertilizer after 14 days of sowing, and 60kg per acre of nitrogen fertilizer (Urea) when flowering.
